Details

2 line printing by one action

When two line printing is activated the 2 lines are printed during the left (line 1) and right (line 2) print head movement. No manual paper transport is necessary. The 2 line printing is highly accurate and fast.

4 print patterns can be assigned to dedicated keys (A-D) on the top of the machine for easy selection by the push of the button by the user. Fully customized comments are also possible.

Easy set-up of the TP-50 by creating setting files on the PC. Once the setting file is created on the PC it can be saved onto a USB memory stick and then the setting data can be loaded into the TP-50 easily. Customers can also use online Website tool www.setupmytp50.com for full custom setting support.

The TP-50 provides multiple counters. Count-up / count down, configurable counting range (by min, max, and initial number), Up to 8 digits, Up to 9 repeats. Also, reset or stop conditions can be programmed once a certain count is reached.

Up to 1,022 punches can be assigned with the value of the numbering counter/ time / date and will be recorded in the memory. The data can be loaded into the USB memory stick and transfer to a PC for further analysis.

The print area is marked by a red printing mask on the platen and illuminated by white LED lighting. So even in not well lit work areas the desired print position on the document can be found easily. The print area light as well as the display backlight can be turned ON/OFF independently by button or automatically by a timetable program.

The TP-50 can print the current date & time and in addition another second or future date and time. Possible applications are printing of production and “best-before” dates, IN/OUT time, etc.

The TP-50 offers a slide lever on the bottom for paper edge distance adjustment, a paper guide gauge for document position assistance, a print mask for exact location of the print content and an LED lighting for the printing area. Print set orientation can be turned by 180 degree.

The full matrix graphic LCD display lets you intuitively program and operate the TP-50 by referring setting and help text in 6 languages (English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese) and icons on graphical display. Additionally a fully “numeric” setting is possible in which all names for day, months, weekdays, etc. are switched to their numeric values. Leading zeros are available for day, month and time vaues.

Once programmed to the local START / END settings of daylight saving time the TP-50 will repeat the time change automatically every year. The function can be disabled if required.

The TP-50 has a memory for 48 program steps. It allows to block / unblock certain functions, printing contents, lighting settings or the whole device during certain time periods.

The TP-50 has a physical lock as well as a password protection for access to making settings.

All settings and data are saved in the electronic memory and a back-up battery provides data security for up to 3 years. An additional optional emergency power battery is available which allows printing of about 100 data sets (time, date, etc.) even during times of mains power failure.

Wall mounting is possible with provided hardware (excluding screws). Table top operation is also possible.

FAQ

How to Set The Language On a TP-50

Setting the Language on the TP-50 will automatically select the corresponding names for months, day, etc. but it helps the functionality too, because many help messages in the setting menu are then displayed in the selected language as well. Due to the memory limitations of the device not all languages can be supported. Available languages are:

English (default), French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Numeric. (When selecting “Numeric” all language specific words for Months, Days of the week, etc. in the printing line will be replaced by the corresponding numbers. For example “April” would be replaced by “4”. Monday will be replaced by “1” because it is the first day of the week. However, in the Display of the TP-50 the Day of the week will still show in 3 Letters in English language. E.g.: On “Monday” will show “MON”.

To set the language:

1. Insert the key into the Top Cover and turn it 1/4 turn to unlock the cover.

2. By holding the left and right sides, lift the Top Cover up.

5. Press the Check Mark key to select LANGUAGE settings.

6. Use the appropriate directional keys that appear on the screen to adjust the language that displays.

7. Press the Check Mark key to Set the changes and exit the programming of the date.

8. Place the cover back on the unit and lock it with the key

When completed, the time recorder display should return to the normal display. For further assistance, contact our Technical Support Department by e-mail to info@buerk-mobatime.eu.

The TP-50 can use an Optional Backup Battery that keeps it operational for up to 24 hours or 100 punches in the event of a power outage. When the TP-50 is AC powered, the battery is in a state of recharging. The battery automatically takes over in the event of power interruption.

It is recommended to use the battery backup where the possibility for power outages is high.

To install the optional battery:

1. Purchse the optional Backup Battery from a SEIKO Precision dealer.

2. Insert the key in the top cover, unlock and remove the compartment cover.

3. Seat the Battery inside the compartment in the top.

4. Connect the battery connector ends.

5. Tuck the extra cord inside the unit.

6. Replace the top cover.

Once the battery is installed, the TP-50 is ready for normal use. No additional programming is needed. For further assistance or how to order the backup battery, please contact our Technical Support Department by e-mail.

In using the TP-50, the ribbon can print about 60,000 impressions or last for a min. of 1 year of normal use provided the ribbon is used at normal temperature and humidity. It must be replaced with SEIKO Part Number TP-1051 (available in black –N or red –R). To order such a ribbon please contact us via e-mail. To change or replace the ribbon:

1. Remove the top cover.

2. Hold the Ribbon by its handle.

3. Pull the old Ribbon carefully towards the side and lift out of the TP-50.

4. Place the new ribbon inside the TP-50, within the clasps that hold the ribbon into place. Make sure the ribbon cassette locks in place. While doing so make sure the ribbon is threaded between the Print Head and Ribbon Mask. If the ribbon is not threaded correctly, the clock may not print properly or very faint and show one or more errors because the ribbon cassette can block the mechanism.

5. After the ribbon is inserted, turn the knob on the ribbon to make sure it is threaded in place. One turn of the little knob is typically enough.
THE RIBBON DOES NOT TIGHTEN TO THE TOUCH. EXCESSIVE TURNING WILL CAUSE THE LIFE OF THE RIBBON TO SHORTEN.

6. After the ribbon is inserted correctly, place the cover back to continue use.

For further assistance, contact our Technical Support Department by e-mail.
